Hospitality Photography

Creating visuals that make spaces felt, not just seen.

For high-end restaurants, cocktail lounges, and hotels whose atmosphere, craft, and point of view deserve to be felt before the reservation.

I’m Dan Kamen, a Tampa-based photographer with a passion of capturing images that feel real. I create imagery that captures the details, atmosphere, and experience behind your brand, giving you content that looks as good as the business you’ve built.

The problem

Generalists miss what makes hospitality different.

Too many owners have tried a cookie-cutter agency or a jack-of-all-trades freelancer and received photos that did not capture the food, drinks, lighting, or atmosphere that make the venue worth choosing.

I specialize in hospitality. I know how to light food, cocktails, and dark interiors without losing their character, work efficiently around service, and plan every image around the goals of the business.

Selected work

Food. Drinks. Interiors. People. Atmosphere.

Guests choose the complete experience, not just the menu. Each project shows the products, spaces, people, service, and atmosphere that give a venue its identity.

How it works

A clear process from planning to delivery.

Before the shoot, we agree on your goals, priority subjects, image uses, and schedule. That preparation keeps the production focused and reduces the time required from your team.

  1. 01

    Set the goals

We identify the guests you want to reach, what you want them to feel, and what the photography needs to accomplish.

  2. 02

    Build the shot list

I map the food, drinks, spaces, people, formats, and campaign needs before shoot day.

  3. 03

    Photograph

I coordinate food, drinks, models, and service coverage around the venue's operations.

  4. 04

    Deliver

You receive an organized library of high-resolution and web-ready photographs that your team can use immediately.

The benefits

Save time and get more from every shoot.

I handle the planning, shot list, and production sequence before shoot day. Your team spends less time managing content, the shoot causes less disruption, and the finished library is easier to use.

  • Less work for your team

I organize priorities and the shooting sequence in advance, so your staff knows what is needed and when.

  • Less disruption to service

Food, drinks, interiors, and staff coverage are scheduled around prep, service, and guest privacy.

  • A consistent visual brand

Your menu, room, people, and service are photographed with one clear style that fits the venue.

  • Photos that work harder

The library supports your website, reservation pages, ads, social media, press, menu launches, private events, email, and partner requests.

  • More value over time

Signature items and evergreen atmosphere receive priority, while seasonal content is planned around its shorter lifespan.

Why KamenPhotos

Photography shaped around your venue.

I do not apply the same look to every client. I study your brand, menu, lighting, audience, and business goals, then create photographs that accurately represent the experience guests will have.

Before the shoot

Answers before you book.

Can professional photography and UGC content coexist?

Yes. Professional photography gives your website, advertising, press, listings, and launches a consistent visual standard. UGC can keep social content current and show real guest experiences between professional shoots.

Can you preserve the mood of a very dark room?

Yes. I use controlled lighting techniques to show the room clearly without making a dark evening venue look artificially bright or changing its atmosphere.

What if the menu changes frequently?

We prioritize signature items, interiors, staff, and atmosphere that will remain useful. Seasonal dishes and limited cocktails can be grouped into focused updates when the menu changes.

How much time will the venue need to commit?

It depends on the package you choose. A standard shoot takes about 3 hours on site. I plan the shot list and schedule in advance so your team knows exactly what is needed.

What is your turnaround time?

Most shoots are delivered within 7 days. If you have an earlier launch or press deadline, tell me during booking so priority delivery can be included in the quote.
